In Saturday’s O’Reilly POWRi Micro-Sprint race at Macon, Eric Edwards topped a 22-car field with his first career series victory. Edwards led the final six laps in his machine after passing Ryan Guyett on the inside on Lap 15. In addition, Edwards is the season’s early point leader.

Nathan Benson was second, followed by Tony Roney, Guyett – who led the opening 14 laps – and Devon Piper. Like his counterpart Loyet in the Midget race, defending Micro champion Dereck King struggled in the Micro feature, finishing 21st.

Powri has released the Microsprint schedule for 2008. Millstadt, IL – Officials from O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil has released its 2008 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint schedule.  The winged micro sprints will visit 4 states and 13 different speedways.  Three trips to Morgan County Speedway, four trips to Belle-Clair Speedway and five events at Macon Speedway highlight the schedule.  Macon Speedway will host the POWRi Nationals on September 26th and 27th.  Details on this event will be forthcoming.                                                 Schedule
